Mercedes Benz S63 AMG Servicing in Dubai

The Mercedes-AMG S63 sits at the top of the S-Class range — a flagship sedan with serious performance credentials. Depending on year, your S63 AMG runs either the M157 5.5L V8 biturbo (2014-2017) or the M177 4.0L V8 biturbo (2018 onwards), paired with AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed or 9-speed transmissions, AIRMATIC or ABC suspension, and AMG-specific brake hardware including optional carbon-ceramic discs.

This isn’t a car that responds well to generic Mercedes service. AMG-spec engine oils, performance-grade brake pads, specialised diagnostic procedures for the AMG ECU, and proper handling of the air suspension and ceramic brake systems all matter.

At our Mercedes Repair Dubai workshop, S63 AMG service is handled by technicians familiar with AMG-specific systems and procedures. We use dealer-grade diagnostic equipment with software updates sourced directly from Germany, AMG-specification fluids and consumables, and genuine or OE-equivalent parts throughout.

Why Choose DASCenter for Mercedes Benz S63 AMG Maintenance?

S63 AMG service isn’t a job for a general workshop. The car has bespoke engines, performance-tuned transmissions, complex air or hydraulic suspension, AMG-specific electronics, and brake hardware (especially on cars with the ceramic brake option) that needs specialist handling. Getting it wrong on an AMG model is expensive — both in repair costs and in damaging the car’s value.

  • Genuine Mercedes-AMG and OE parts only — including AMG-spec engine oil, performance brake pads, and OE air suspension components

  • Affordable and available 24/7 for quotes and bookings
  • AMG-specific diagnostic capability — including reading and resetting fault codes from AMG’s bespoke ECU, transmission control unit, and active suspension modules
  • Cross-system expertise — S63 issues rarely stay in one system. We diagnose brakes, suspension, and electronics together when symptoms suggest multiple causes

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs): Mercedes Benz S63 AMG Service Dubai

All S63 models have big V8 engines that need lots of oil. However, some S63 cars, notably those with the M156 engine, leak oil at the valve gasket covers, camshaft solenoid cover gaskets, and oil filter housing gaskets.
To avoid oil puddles beneath your S63, frequently replace the valve gasket and camshaft solenoid covers. If there is a leak, repair these components to prevent damaging the alternator, A/C compressor, or gearbox cooling hoses.

S63 cars from the late 2000s with active body control suspension were part of a large recall in September 2008. The recall was linked to a problem with the front-axle body acceleration sensors. Other S63 models, excluding the most recent, are also prone to suspension troubles, mainly if not properly maintained. Leaks, a lack of ground clearance, or unequal suspension levels across all four wheels are all common Mercedes suspension system problems.

The 2016 S63 model, in particular, is infamous for transmission-related troubles such as grinding or leaping under severe acceleration. However, the transmission on the 2016 S63 has been known to make unusual whining noises or even burning smells, which may be cause some people to panic. The simplest and safest approach to keep your gearbox in good working order is to replace the oil every 30k-60k miles. The S63 is much more performance-oriented and is meant to be driven aggressively; as such, it is critical to maintain the transmission regularly, especially if you frequently use launch control.

A faulty crankshaft breather valve most likely causes this problem. There are two ways in which a crankshaft breather valve might fail. The breather diaphragm valve degradation causes the first. Because of the higher heat and overall brittleness, the hose from the crankshaft tends to degrade a little faster, which can also create breathing valve troubles.
This problem is also commonly connected to the M156 engine and is easily diagnosed by the P0170 error number. These systems will need to be replaced every 60k miles, but the good news is that it shouldn’t take more than 30 minutes.
