On the belt driven V8s, mainly the 355, 360, and F430, the timing belts are replaced on a time based schedule rather than by mileage, commonly around every three to five years, because the belts age and perish even on a car that is barely driven. On several of these models the job is done with the engine or gearbox out to reach the belts properly, which is why it counts as a major service. Later Ferraris from the 458 onwards use timing chains and do not need this. We confirm the correct interval for your exact car and carry out the belt service with genuine parts, because a snapped belt on these engines means catastrophic damage.

This is a very well known issue on the 360, F430, California, and cars of that era. Ferrari used a soft touch coating on many interior parts, the trim panels, buttons, and console pieces, and over time and in heat that coating breaks down and turns sticky or starts to peel. It is purely cosmetic, but it looks and feels poor, and it affects a lot of these cars in the UAE climate. We can restore or replace the affected parts and refinish them properly so the interior looks as it should again.

On the F1 automated manual cars, such as the 360, F430, and 599, slow or harsh shifts and any slipping usually point to a worn clutch, since the F1 system uses a single clutch that wears much like a manual. The F1 hydraulics, the pump, and the actuator can also be involved. Rather than guess, we measure the remaining clutch life on the diagnostic system and inspect the F1 components, then advise whether it is a clutch, a hydraulic fault, or an adjustment, so you spend money only where it is actually needed.

A Ferrari that has sat for months needs a proper recommission before you use it hard, and it is worth doing to avoid trouble. The battery will usually need conditioning or replacing, the fluids and their condition should be checked, the tyres may have flat spots or have aged and lost pressure, and the brakes and belts want inspecting for age rather than mileage.
